We stopped in last night after 10pm because it Was one of The last few places are open late. We were tired and hungry and liked the half off prices for the late night happy hour. I ordered the four cheese pizza and the cookie skillet. They were both delicious! The cookie comes in an iron skillet and it's very hot! So do not touch it lol I wish they were a little bigger. I've been here in the past and I've never been dissatisfied with any of there food. The food is a little pricy so it's best to go when they have specials. The staff is always really friendly and I will definitely be back in the future.

Mark and I were starving and exhausted after a day of snorkeling and swimming. We found this place on Yelp. It's in Kihei near the hotels and our Airbnb. Food and service were top notch. Our server knew the food and drinks menu by heart and he provided great recommendations on food and cocktails for us. Mark loved the burger with kimchi fries. My vegetarian beet salad with macadamia nuts and fresh field greens was beautiful and delicious! We shared the chocolate lava brownie with vanilla bean ice cream. From the moment we walked in and were greeted until we paid our bill we experienced awesome service! We recommend this place!!!

I can't believe I haven't been here in a year! No wait, I can. I've told my spouse how delicious the food was, but sometimes I feel like I'm talking to myself as no one likes to listen. We had plans to eat elsewhere but their wait time was 30 minutes so we ended up here. What did the spouse say after taking a few bites? "I've found my new favorite place!" Slaps, I tell you... ATMOSPHERE: Their outdoor patio is now in use with protection from the building's awning. FOOD: I ordered for the table what my gang and I had last time. The Beer Braised Oxtail Poutine ($12.95, up $4 from a year ago) which everyone absolutely loved and devoured. The Crispy Brussels Sprouts ($7.95, up $2) which my spouse adored. My spouse's dish was the Shrimp Scampi ($18.95, up $2) which he liked but felt the pasta needed salt. The shrimp were cooked perfect with a nice sear to the exterior. Char Grilled Romaine Salad - $8.95 This wasn't a cold salad but it wasn't warm either, kind of room temperature. I never had a grilled salad before and it was so good. The creamy dressing worked well with the light, smoky notes. Not being a fan of raisins, they actually complimented the salad nicely with a bit of sweetness. Shearwater Burger - $14.95 I got this on recommendation from our server. This was by far the messiest burger I've eaten! The yolk immediately burst and went all over the place. I was a little apprehensive about the "cheddar sauce" being like cheese whiz but I couldn't detect it. I'm not a fan of bacon in burgers but it went well with the cornucopia of toppings. The fries were a thicker cut, crispy and seasoned well. I don't like ketchup with my fries so I asked for a side of ranch, but what came to the table tasted like thousand island dressing with mayo mixed in. No biggie as it's better than ketchup! Absolutely delish burger and generously portioned. SERVICE: Tiffany was our excellent, professional, smiley and friendly server. What a different level of service than the last time we were here. OVERALL: Delicious cuisine, great prices, terrifc service, open late. Add that shiny fifth star!

Already a DK Kodama fan from Sansei's, I was so excited to try his new gastropub Shearwater Tavern this year. It is tavern style food but many with an Asian fusion twist that works really well. We ordered some apps and a pizza for a light dinner. Unfortunately I was not a fan of the mushroom and leek pizza as the crust was too charred for my taste and did not have any truffle oil flavor making me wonder if they forgot to drizzle it on. On the flipside, I have to say I was impressed with the apps we chose. Pork buns - The pork buns are sold individually so we ordered 3 to share. These are different than what you would normally get from Momofuku and its copycats as the buns are crisp on the outside almost as if they were flash fried but still soft on the inside. The tender pork belly with pickled jalapeno and hoisin had the perfect balance of tartness, spice, and smokiness making it my favorite item we ordered. Oxtail poutine - This was a close second as who does not want to gild the lily of an already rich dish with a fried egg that just oozes perfectly over the fries, cheese curds, and oxtail. Warning, you may not be able to stop eating this. Ahi sashimi - Again, another one that may not be what you expect as if you like your sashimi completely rare, you may not want to order this as it was seared on the outside but the center remains rare maybe inspired by the panko crusted ahi roll from Sansei?
